Job Description
Recruiter — CAREGiver and CNA Hiring Home Instead | Fort Collins, CO (Office 365) Serving Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, and surrounding Northern Colorado communities Full-time • On-site • Salary + monthly bonus About Us Home Instead provides in-home care that helps older adults stay safe, independent, and at home. Our Northern Colorado office supports hundreds of families across Larimer and Weld counties, backed by a clinical team of RNs and nurse practitioners, social workers, and a 24/7 care coordination staff. Everything we do depends on one thing: having enough of the right CAREGivers. That is what this job is. The Role We're hiring a Recruiter to own caregiver hiring for the Fort Collins office end to end — sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding the people who deliver care in our clients' homes. This is a high-volume, high-touch recruiting role with a real scoreboard: hires per month, time-to-first-shift, and 90-day retention. You'll work closely with our schedulers and care advisors so that hiring stays ahead of client demand, and you'll be the face of our office to every candidate from first call to first shift. What You'll Do Own the pipeline. Post, refresh, and optimize openings across Indeed, ZipRecruiter, the Home Instead careers site, and local job boards. Track source performance and shift spend toward what actually produces hires. Source actively. Don't wait on applicants. Build relationships with CNA and nursing programs, workforce centers, community colleges, faith communities, and local employers. Run and attend hiring events and job fairs. Move fast on every lead. Contact new applicants within hours, not days. Screen by phone, schedule interviews, and keep candidates warm through a process where speed is the single biggest differentiator. Interview and select. Conduct in-person and virtual interviews using behavior-based questions. Assess for compassion, reliability, and judgment — the traits that predict a caregiver who stays. Run compliance cleanly. Manage background checks, CAPS/CBI screening, reference checks, TB tests, driving records, and I-9 verification. Maintain complete, audit-ready personnel files that stand up to CDPHE review. Onboard and orient. Coordinate new-hire paperwork, orientation, and required training so new CAREGivers reach their first shift quickly and confidently. Support retention. Partner with the office team on stay interviews, recognition programs, referral bonuses, and engagement events. Track turnover reasons and bring the patterns to leadership. Report the numbers. Maintain accurate applicant tracking data and report weekly on funnel metrics, cost per hire, and retention. What You'll Bring Required 1+ years of recruiting, staffing, HR, or high-volume customer-facing experience Excellent phone presence and written communication — you'll be the first impression of our company Strong organization and follow-through; comfortable managing 50+ active candidates at once Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, job boards, and Microsoft Office Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment screening Eligible to work in the United States Preferred Experience recruiting in home care, healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or another high-volume hourly environment Familiarity with Colorado home care regulations and CDPHE requirements Established connections in the Northern Colorado hiring market Who Does Well Here People who genuinely like people, who compete against their own numbers, and who understand that a caregiver hired today changes a family's week. If you need a quiet desk job, this isn't it. If you want to see the direct result of your work, it is.
