Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Shipyard Recruiting Coordinator to manage the full-cycle recruitment process for shipyard and marine industrial positions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience recruiting within the ship repair, shipbuilding, fabrication, or manufacturing industries and will serve as a trusted partner to both clients and candidates throughout the hiring process. Key Responsibilities Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, evaluating, and hiring qualified candidates for current and anticipated shipyard openings. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client supervisors, managers, and operational leaders. Create and execute proactive recruiting and sourcing strategies to attract top talent in the ship repair and marine industry. Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and Affirmative Action requirements. Maintain accurate and organized candidate records, hiring manager communications, and recruiting activities within the applicant tracking system (ATS). Evaluate applicants' skills, qualifications, experience, and cultural fit to ensure successful placements. Conduct comprehensive reference checks and assist with offer preparation, onboarding documentation, and orientation processes. Provide timely communication and follow-up with candidates throughout every stage of the hiring process. Build and maintain strong relationships with placed employees, addressing concerns proactively and supporting retention efforts. Promote company opportunities, candidate strengths, and future workforce needs to support business growth. Serve as a trusted recruitment partner by consistently delivering quality candidates and staffing solutions. Anticipate client workforce needs and provide recommendations utilizing available company resources. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of recruiting data in the ATS and other staffing management systems. Remain accessible and responsive to both clients and candidates, ensuring exceptional service and support. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered. Minimum of four (4) years of recruiting experience with a proven record of successfully filling positions within the ship repair, shipbuilding, ship fabrication, or manufacturing industries. Direct experience working with ship repair companies is required. Strong background in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing strategy development, candidate screening, interviewing, reference checking, offer presentation, onboarding, and orientation. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and online recruiting tools, resume databases, and job posting platforms. High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical business conduct. Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred but not required.
