Job Description

Overwview We are looking for a motivated and personable Staffing Recruiter to join our West Chicago, IL team. The Staffing Recruiter will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, screening, and placing qualified candidates into temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire positions. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys building relationships with both candidates and clients. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Recruit and attract qualified candidates for a variety of light industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, and administrative positions. Source candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, the company database, recruiting events, and other outreach methods. Review applications and resumes to identify candidates who meet job requirements. Conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess candidate qualifications, work history, availability, and job preferences. Explain job responsibilities, pay rates, schedules, locations, and employment expectations to candidates. Conduct required pre-employment screening and assist candidates with completing necessary employment paperwork. Enter and maintain accurate candidate and employee information in the staffing system. Match qualified candidates with available job orders based on skills, experience, availability, and client requirements. Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring and onboarding process. Assist with employee onboarding, orientations, and first-day instructions. Communicate with temporary employees regarding assignments, schedules, attendance, and general employment questions. Maintain regular communication with clients and internal staff regarding candidate status and staffing needs. Assist with filling urgent and high-volume job orders while maintaining recruiting quality. Participate in job fairs, hiring events, community recruiting events, and other recruitment activities as needed. Provide professional and responsive customer service to candidates, employees, and clients. Maintain confidentiality and handle candidate and employee information appropriately. Follow all company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Perform other recruiting and staffing-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous recruiting or staffing agency experience preferred. Customer service, human resources, sales, or office experience is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interview and communicate effectively with candidates from diverse backgrounds. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Comfortable using computers, email, recruiting platforms, and database systems. Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Must be professional, dependable, energetic, and results-oriented. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, recruiting talent, solving staffing challenges, and building relationships . You should be comfortable picking up the phone, speaking with candidates throughout the day, working toward recruiting goals, and adapting quickly when client needs change. $18.00-$19.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00
PM Weekend Availability:
Occasional weekends may be required for job fairs, recruiting events, or other staffing needs.
