Families & Communities Rising (FCR) is a Durham-based nonprofit serving children, families, and communities through local and national programs. Our work includes Head Start, Early Head Start, KidSCope, family support, child abuse prevention, and respite care initiatives. We are seeking a Recruiter to manage full-cycle recruitment across our programs. You will partner with hiring managers, build candidate pipelines, and help FCR hire qualified teachers, family support staff, administrators, and support personnel. What you'll do Manage recruitment from hiring manager intake through accepted offer and transition to onboarding. Develop sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, referrals, direct outreach, and community partnerships. Build relationships with colleges, early childhood education programs, workforce agencies, and community organizations. Review applications, conduct screening interviews, coordinate interviews, and provide hiring recommendations. Evaluate education, credentials, and experience against position requirements. Coordinate offers and pre-employment checks within established HR procedures. Maintain accurate, confidential applicant records and track recruitment results. Identify ways to improve time-to-fill, candidate communication, and sourcing effectiveness. Participate in job fairs, recruitment events, and onsite collaboration in the Triangle area. Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. At least two years of full-cycle recruitment experience, including independent management of assigned openings. Experience using applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms. Working knowledge of employment laws, equal employment opportunity requirements, and recruiting practices. Strong communication, organization, candidate assessment, and hiring manager partnership skills. Ability to manage multiple openings and competing priorities. Preferred qualifications Recruitment experience in nonprofit organizations, early childhood education, or Head Start. Familiarity with Head Start staff qualifications and applicable state requirements. Experience with Paychex HCM. Payroll and/or benefits administration experience. SHRM-CP or PHR certification. Preferred qualifications are a plus and are not required. Work arrangement This is an on-site position with onsite collaboration and recruitment activities in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area.
