SUNY Morrisville is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Admissions Recruiter - New York City to join the Admissions & Enrollment team. This full-time, remote position will serve as SUNY Morrisville's primary admissions representative throughout the New York City metropolitan area. The Regional Admissions Recruiter will play a key role in expanding SUNY Morrisville's presence in the NYC market, developing relationships with high schools, community-based organizations, counselors, prospective students and families, and generating a strong pipeline of prospective students interested in Morrisville's academic programs and career-focused educational opportunities. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Regional Recruitment & Outreach Serve as SUNY Morrisville's primary admissions representative throughout the New York City metropolitan area. Develop and implement a strategic recruitment plan for the assigned territory in collaboration with the Director of Admissions & Enrollment. Represent SUNY Morrisville at high school visits, college fairs, community-based events, college access programs, transfer events, and other recruitment activities. Establish and maintain relationships with high school counselors, administrators, community-based organizations, college access professionals, students, families, and other educational partners. Conduct individual and group admissions counseling sessions, presentations, information sessions, and virtual events. Promote SUNY Morrisville's academic programs, career-focused education, student support services, financial aid opportunities, campus experience, and pathways to employment and further education. Participate in SUNY system-wide recruitment initiatives and regional college access events. Identify opportunities to increase Morrisville's visibility and engagement within the NYC educational community. Lead Generation & Enrollment Development Develop and maintain a consistent prospective student pipeline within the assigned territory. Conduct proactive outreach to prospective students and applicants through phone, email, text messaging, virtual appointments, and other appropriate communication methods. Follow up with prospective students throughout the admissions process to encourage application completion, enrollment, and matriculation. Support yield and melt-reduction efforts by maintaining consistent communication with deposited and admitted students. Collaborate with on-campus Admissions & Enrollment staff to identify recruitment opportunities and respond to emerging enrollment trends within the territory. Identify populations, schools, organizations, and partnerships that may provide new opportunities for student recruitment. Application Review & Admissions Support Review admissions applications from students within the assigned territory in accordance with SUNY Morrisville admissions policies and procedures. Assist prospective students and families in understanding admissions requirements, application processes, deadlines, financial aid, and enrollment next steps. Maintain accurate and timely records of recruitment activities, student interactions, travel, and enrollment outcomes within the University's CRM system. Monitor territory-specific recruitment data and use that information to inform future outreach strategies. Partnership Development Develop sustainable partnerships with NYC high schools, community-based organizations, college access programs, workforce organizations, and other educational partners. Identify opportunities for articulation agreements, recruitment partnerships, group visits, and other initiatives that can strengthen Morrisville's NYC recruitment pipeline. Serve as a consistent point of contact for counselors and community partners in the assigned region.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to travel extensively within an assigned recruitment territory and work evenings and weekends as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in undergraduate admissions and recruitment. Experience working with high school students, families, school counselors, community-based organizations and/or other college access partners. Experience with CRM systems and/or student information systems. Experience conducting presentations to large and small groups. Knowledge of the college admissions process and current enrollment trends. Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse student populations and fostering an inclusive environment.
Additional Information:
Occasional travel to SUNY Morrisville campus will be required multiple times per year for recruitment events
