Full-Time $20.67 - $22.84/hour Oklahoma City University is seeking an organized, service-minded Recruitment Specialist to coordinate hiring across our campus community, from the first job posting to the new hire's first day. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives on process, is ready for ownership of a function, and understands that every search reflects the institution. What You'll Do Coordinate searches across all employment types, staff, faculty, adjunct, and contingent, from vacancy approval through offer acceptance
Work with hiring managers to develop search strategies, build interview processes, and keep things moving
Own and operate our applicant tracking system (PageUp), including training others and keeping data clean
Be the point of contact candidates hear from first and count on through pre-boarding: offer, background check, I-9, and Banner record setup
Train hiring managers on process and procedure so searches run consistently and every candidate is treated with respect, including the ones we don't hire
Expand how we recruit: job fairs, sourcing strategies, employer brand, community partnerships
Track what's working, flag what isn't, and bring ideas
Contribute to the department's ongoing efforts to enhance employee engagement and recognition across the university community What You'll Bring 3+ years of progressive HR, talent acquisition, or related experience
Strong organizational skills and genuine attention to detail
Experience with applicant tracking systems or complex HR software
A service orientation, responsive, organized, and welcoming whether you're talking to a finalist or a frustrated hiring manager
The instinct to ask questions and the confidence to raise a concern when something doesn't seem right Associate's degree required; bachelor's preferred. Relevant experience may substitute year for year. PHR or SHRM-CP a plus, we'll support you in getting there. Higher education experience and PageUp or Banner familiarity are a bonus, not a requirement.
