Location:
United States or Canada As a Contract Sourcer at GitLab, you'll help build strong candidate pipelines for our sales teamin the AMER region in a fully remote, distributed company. You'll focus on finding and engagingpassive talent for sales roles, while partnering closely with recruiters, hiring managers, andbusiness leaders to understand hiring needs and local market dynamics. This is a highlyoutbound role where your research, outreach, and judgment will directly influence hiringoutcomes. You'll also help strengthen sourcing practices by mapping talent markets, buildingpipelines, and improving how we identify and connect with great candidates in a values-drivenenvironment. What you'll do
  • Source and engage passive candidates for sales roles across the AMER region usingLinkedIn, online research, events, and other outbound channels.
  • Build representative candidate pipelines with meaningful focus on identifying talent froma wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, businesspriorities, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Map talent markets and gather intelligence on competitors, locations, and candidatepools to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Assess candidate alignment for specific roles, teams, and GitLab's values, and shareclear recommendations with recruiting partners.
  • Screen and qualify candidates, building and maintaining talent benches across multiplecountries in the AMER region to ensure strong pipeline depth and readiness for evolvingbusiness needs.
  • Deliver a strong candidate experience through thoughtful outreach, timelycommunication, and professional relationship building.
  • Continuously improve sourcing workflows, outreach approaches, and research methodsto increase efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain accurate activity and candidate data in applicant tracking and recruitingsystems, and stay open to learning new tools and processes. What you'll bring
  • Relevant experience in recruiting and/or sourcing, including direct experience sourcingpassive candidates in a fully outbound environment.
  • Experience sourcing for Account Executive and other sales roles, ideally within thesoftware industry.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to identify, map, and engage talent acrosscompetitive regional and global markets.
  • Experience working directly with recruiters and hiring managers to align on hiring needsand adjust sourcing strategies as priorities change.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust across teams,candidates, and time zones.
  • Strong organization skills and comfort managing multiple searches, deadlines, andcompeting priorities.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools. Experience withGreenhouse or LinkedIn Recruiter is ideal.
  • Comfort working remotely in an asynchronous environment, along with willingness tolearn and use tools such as GitLab.
