ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES
To provide services necessary to adequately prepare secondary students to acquire postsecondary credit leading to a certificate at the postsecondary level or an associate degree and recruit these students into a Lackawanna College POS degree to continue their education. This hybrid role requires some in-person attendance and up to 50% travel, inclusive of occasional overnight stays. The successful candidate must live within a commutable distance of Scranton or one of our Satellite Centers. This is a full-time, 100% Perkins grant-funded position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To develop/expand the relationship between secondary districts and institutions in Northeastern and Central PA and Lackawanna College To improve the likelihood of students' postsecondary matriculation and success by serving as a liaison between the secondary and postsecondary institutions regarding academic expectations and preparation. To develop/formalize articulation agreements between secondary districts and institutions and Lackawanna College to implement a seamless program of study. To work closely with area schools on career awareness and to disseminate occupational information relative to high-skill, high-wage and high-demand occupations. To maintain relationships with area businesses and responsiveness to the local job market. To implement other means of strengthening secondary-postsecondary links, such as faculty sharing and dual credit instruction. To maintain complete and accurate records of school and student contacts, employer contacts, interviews, and placement of vocational students. Serve as an academic advisor and coordinate freshman scheduling for
POS & CTE
students. Attend job fairs and school career fairs. Maintain professional memberships. Attend and present at professional development workshops, as appropriate. Serve on Lackawanna College's curriculum committee. Assists the Local Application Administrator for PIMS data collection. Work with part-time Programs of Study Regional Recruiter & Advisor positions to ensure seamless implementation of POS and CTE Advising across all locations. Maintain a biweekly activity log and upload it to Teams.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree required in related field.
