We're looking for a Growth Partner to join our Bloomington office and work alongside our Managing Director and leadership team to build the future of our firm. This isn't a traditional recruiting role. You'll be at the center of our growth—building relationships, creating connections in the community, and introducing talented career changers to a career in financial advising that can change the trajectory of their lives. You'll spend your days talking with interesting people, learning what motivates them, understanding where they want to go, and helping them determine whether financial advising could be the right next step. You'll build your network through referrals, community relationships, centers of influence, and online sourcing tools—and you'll own those relationships from the first conversation through the recruiting process. Most importantly, you'll become a trusted partner to our leadership team. You'll help us identify the right people, create momentum around our recruiting efforts, and ultimately help grow a team that makes a meaningful impact on the clients and communities we serve. What You'll Do Build Relationships & Create Opportunities Build and maintain a strong pipeline of talented career changers through referrals, personal and professional networks, community relationships, centers of influence, and online sourcing platforms. Become genuinely curious about people—their experiences, ambitions, strengths, and what they want from their careers. Create meaningful first conversations that help candidates understand the opportunity and envision what could be possible. Build trusted relationships with candidates throughout the recruiting process and serve as a consistent point of connection. Develop referral partnerships and community relationships that generate qualified candidates. Collaborate with other Northwestern Mutual recruiters to share ideas, leads, relationships, and best practices. Partner With Leadership on Growth Work closely with the Managing Director and leadership team to execute the office's recruiting strategy and growth goals. Bring energy, ideas, and creativity to how we attract talent and build our presence in the community. Help leadership identify opportunities to expand our talent network and strengthen our recruiting efforts. Participate in leadership meetings and provide visibility into recruiting activity, pipeline, and results. Own the Recruiting Process Source, screen, and schedule candidates for initial interviews. Guide candidates through each stage of the recruiting process with strong communication and follow-through. Administer screening tools and maintain accurate candidate information and activity. Track recruiting activity and results using firm-supported systems and technology. Analyze recruiting activity and ratios to identify opportunities to improve the process. Support contract and licensing responsibilities as needed. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is energized by people, relationships, and growth. You might be a great fit if you are: A phenomenal communicator. You know how to make people feel comfortable, ask great questions, listen closely, and create genuine connection. Genuinely curious. You want to understand people—not just check a box in a recruiting process. A relationship builder . You naturally build trust and stay connected with people over time. Comfortable creating opportunities . You enjoy prospecting, networking, making the first call, and opening doors. Driven by results. You enjoy having goals, creating a plan, and finding a way to make things happen. Collaborative. You want to be part of a leadership team and contribute beyond your individual responsibilities. Entrepreneurial. You see an opportunity and think, "How can we make this happen?" rather than waiting for someone else to create the path. Excited by growth. You want to be part of a growing organization where your work directly contributes to the people and culture we're building. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience. 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in recruiting, sales, business development, relationship management, or a related field. Experience prospecting and generating leads through phone, networking, or face-to-face interactions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with people at all levels. Familiarity with sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Handshake. An established personal or professional network and involvement in the community are a plus. Why This Role Matters The people you introduce to this firm could be making a career change that impacts their family, their financial future, and the lives of the clients they ultimately serve. You'll get to watch that transformation happen—from the first conversation, to the moment they see what's possible, to building a career they're proud of. If you're someone who loves people, loves growth, and wants your work to have a visible impact, we'd love to meet you.
