Position Overview The Hire is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Recruiter to support our Healthcare & Nonprofit Recruiting division. This position will work closely with the Healthcare Recruiting Manager and play an active role throughout the recruiting process, from candidate sourcing and initial screening through interviews, references, offers, and onboarding. This is not solely an administrative position. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, communicates confidently, follows through on responsibilities, and helps keep a fast-moving recruiting process organized and on track. The ideal candidate is comfortable communicating with both candidates and clients, managing multiple priorities, learning new technology, and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities. The Nonprofit and Healthcare Recruiter will support searches for organizations primarily in healthcare, behavioral health, mental health, human services, and the nonprofit sector. Because many of the positions we recruit for directly impact individuals and communities, professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to candidate quality are essential. What We Are Looking For The right person for this position is someone who does not need to be repeatedly reminded to complete a task or follow up. Recruiting moves quickly, and small details can significantly impact the candidate and client experience. We are looking for someone who: Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities and follows tasks through to completion. Has strong attention to detail and notices when information is missing, inconsistent, or incorrect. Understands the importance of timely follow-up. Is comfortable picking up the phone and communicating with candidates, references, clients, and hiring managers. Communicates professionally and clearly in both written and verbal forms. Can manage several candidates, positions, interviews, and deadlines simultaneously. Is proactive and looks for the next step rather than always waiting to be told what to do. Knows when to work independently and when to ask questions or escalate an issue. Is comfortable receiving and applying feedback. Can adapt when priorities or client needs change. Is dependable and understands that other parts of the recruiting process may depend on their work being completed accurately and on time. Enjoys working with people and building professional relationships. Understands the importance of delivering a positive candidate experience, even when a candidate is not ultimately selected. Can balance efficiency with the personal communication and relationship-building that are essential to recruiting. Is comfortable learning new recruiting technologies, systems, and processes. Has an interest in healthcare, nonprofit, human services, or mission-driven recruiting. Qualifications & Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field is a plus. Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, customer service, administrative, sales, or other people-facing roles preferred but not required. Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, mental health, human services, nonprofit organizations, clinical services, special education, or related fields is preferred but not required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Comfortable with learning applicant tracking systems, recruiting platforms, job boards, and other technology. Valid driver's license. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Success in This Role Success in this position means helping to create an organized, responsive, and reliable recruiting process. The Nonprofit Healthcare Recruiter should help ensure that candidates receive timely communication, interviews are scheduled efficiently, references and follow-ups are completed, recruiting records remain accurate, and important next steps do not fall through the cracks. As the individual becomes comfortable with The Hire's recruiting process, the expectation is that they will take greater ownership of recruiting activities and becomes a dependable partner to the Healthcare Recruiting Manager. #TH123
Pay:

Please briefly describe your experience with recruiting, interviewing, candidate communication, scheduling, reference checks, or onboarding. If you do not have direct recruiting experience, describe the experience you have that you believe would transfer well to this position. This position requires someone who can take ownership of tasks and follow through without repeated reminders. Please provide a brief example of how you have demonstrated this in a previous position.
