Hiring Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist Avodah Homecare —
Columbia, SC Pay:
$18.50-$21.50 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30

In person—Columbia, SC About the Position Avodah Homecare is seeking a motivated, organized, and results-driven hiring recruiter/talent acquisition specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for managing the recruiting process from initial applicant contact through interview, hiring, background checks, and onboarding. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who can move quickly, stay organized, consistently follow up with candidates, and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified healthcare and home care professionals. You will play an important role in helping our team maintain reliable staffing for our clients, including seniors, veterans, and individuals living with Alzheimer's and dementia. Key Responsibilities Post and manage job advertisements on Indeed and other recruiting platforms. Review applications and identify qualified candidates daily. Contact qualified applicants promptly and conduct initial phone screenings. Schedule and conduct candidate interviews. Recruit CNAs, PCAs, caregivers, LPNs, and RNs. Maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates. Follow up consistently with candidates throughout the hiring process. Complete reference checks and required hiring paperwork. Coordinate background checks and pre-employment requirements. Communicate hiring and onboarding information to new employees. Schedule new hires for orientation. Work closely with management and scheduling to identify and fill staffing needs. Monitor candidates through each stage of the hiring process and prevent applicants from falling through the cracks. Maintain accurate recruiting records and applicant information. Track recruiting activity, hiring results, and key performance metrics. Respond quickly to urgent staffing needs. Recruiting Performance Expectations This is a high-volume recruiting position . Successful candidates should be comfortable working toward measurable weekly goals, including: 40-50 phone screenings per week 20-25 interviews scheduled per week 5-10 qualified hires per week Maintaining a pipeline of at least 50 active candidates Prompt follow-up with applicants and scheduled candidates Consistent progress toward urgent staffing needs Performance expectations may vary based on staffing needs, applicant volume, and business demand. Qualifications Required Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organization and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple candidates and recruiting tasks simultaneously. Comfortable making a high volume of phone calls. Professional, friendly, and confident communication style. Strong computer skills and ability to learn recruiting systems quickly. Ability to work in a fast-paced, in-office environment. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM. Preferred Recruiting, staffing, or talent acquisition experience. Healthcare or home care recruiting experience. Experience recruiting CNAs, PCAs, caregivers, LPNs, or RNs. Experience using Indeed or other applicant tracking/recruiting platforms. Experience working in a home care, healthcare, staffing, or senior-care environment.
