Job Description

Position Summary The Nurse Recruiter is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment efforts for nursing roles across the health system. This role partners closely with nursing leadership to identify staffing needs, proactively source and engage top nursing talent, and deliver a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience. The ideal candidate brings direct experience recruiting nurses in a hospital setting and demonstrates strong interviewing, relationship-building, and offer management skills. Key Responsibilities Full-Cycle Recruitment Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for nursing positions, including RNs, LPNs, and specialty roles. Review applications, screen candidates, and conduct structured interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and cultural alignment. Present highly qualified, vetted candidates to hiring managers with clear recommendations. Coordinate and facilitate interview scheduling, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and leaders. Lead offer discussions and extend offers, working with compensation and leadership for any changes. Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development Proactively source candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, and direct outreach. Build and maintain strong pipelines for high-demand roles (e.g., critical care, ED, OR) Develop relationships with nursing schools, residency programs, and professional organizations. Attend and represent the organization at career fairs, hiring events, and community outreach efforts. Hiring Manager Partnership Serve as a strategic partner to nursing leadership, understanding workforce needs and unit-specific requirements. Provide guidance on market trends, candidate availability, and recruitment strategies. Coach hiring managers on interview best practices and selection decisions. Ensure alignment on candidate expectations, timelines, and hiring outcomes. Recruitment Operations & Process Improvement Maintain accurate documentation and workflow within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational hiring standards. Monitor recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, candidate quality, offer acceptance rates) and identify opportunities for improvement. Support initiatives to enhance recruitment processes, candidate experience, and employer branding.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5 + years of experience recruiting nurses in a hospital Experience with full-cycle recruiting, including screening, interviewing, and offer management Strong knowledge of nursing roles, licensure requirements, and healthcare hiring practices. Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Preferred:
7+ years of healthcare recruitment experience Experience recruiting for hard-to-fill or specialty nursing roles Familiarity with workforce planning and pipeline development strategies RN highly desired
