Job Description

Locum Tenens Physician Recruiter Four Winds Staffing, LLC

• Onsite — McKinney, TX

• Full-time About Four Winds Staffing Four Winds Staffing, LLC is a federally recognized Indian Economic Enterprise (IEE) and one of the most active healthcare staffing firms serving the Indian Health Service (IHS), Tribal 638, and Urban Indian Health programs. We hold an active portfolio of federal contracts across multiple IHS Areas and are hiring an experienced Locum Tenens Physician Recruiter to support our Account Managers on current job orders and new solicitations. The Role You will own the physician recruiting pipeline for IHS, Tribal 638, and Urban Indian contracts — sourcing, screening, submitting, and closing MD/DO locum tenens providers across Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Hospitalist/Nocturnist, OB/GYN, Surgery, and other specialties. You will work directly with Account Managers on current job orders, active solicitations, extensions, and new-award pursuits.

Important:

All facility and client communication goes through the Account Manager. The recruiter does not contact facilities, hospital leadership, credentialing offices, or Contracting Officers directly. What You Will Do Take recruiting briefs from Account Managers and prioritize the daily fill list. Source, screen, present, and close MD/DO physicians against federal contract requirements. Interpret IHS solicitations (RFQs, RFPs, IDIQ task orders, BPAs) and translate scope-of-work into recruiting plans. Submit compliant candidate packets meeting Joint Commission, licensure, DEA, ACLS/BLS, and site-specific privileging requirements. Coordinate with internal Credentialing and Contracts to move offers through DocuSign, background, and first-shift confirmation. Manage extensions, backfills, and coverage-gap sourcing; report status back to Account Managers in real time. Pre-source physicians during the proposal phase so we can deploy immediately upon contract award. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years recruiting physicians for Indian Health Service, Tribal 638, or Urban Indian Health contracts. Working knowledge of IHS credentialing, privileging, and Joint Commission requirements.

Familiarity with federal contracting vehicles:

IDIQ task orders, BPAs, RFQs, RFPs, Buy Indian / ISBEE set-asides, and option years.

Proven full-desk locum tenens metrics:

submissions, offers, and starts. Experience negotiating physician pay rates against fixed federal bill rates. Proficiency with ATS/CRM tools, Microsoft 365, and DocuSign. Preferred 4+ years physician recruiting with a strong IHS or Tribal focus. Existing physician network in Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist/Nocturnist, or Family Medicine. Familiarity with SAM.gov and IHS solicitation portals. Native American / Alaska Native heritage or experience working alongside Tribal health programs. Compensation & Benefits $65,000 annual base salary plus uncapped commission tied to hours worked and contract margin. Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance. 401(k) retirement plan. Paid time off and paid federal holidays. Onsite role at our McKinney, TX office with full back-office support (Credentialing, Contracts, Payroll, Compliance). How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your resume and a short note describing the IHS or Tribal contracts you have recruited physicians for, the specialties you have filled, and one representative fill you are proud of.
