Talent Acquisition Specialist and Strategist
San Antonio, TX Direct-Hire $70000.00 - $85000.00 Onsite Job Description Position Overview Seeking an experienced HR professional to lead technical recruiting and workforce planning for a manufacturing operation in San Antonio, TX. This role will focus on attracting and retaining technical talent, managing labor costs, and supporting leadership with strategic workforce decisions. Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is required. Key Responsibilities Lead full-cycle recruiting for engineers, technicians, skilled trades, maintenance, and manufacturing personnel.
Build and maintain strong technical talent pipelines.
Develop workforce planning and labor cost-control strategies.
Analyze staffing needs, labor costs, overtime, turnover, and recruiting metrics.
Manage relationships with staffing agencies and recruitment partners.
Establish partnerships with colleges, technical schools, and apprenticeship programs.
Identify workforce development programs, grants, and training resources.
Conduct interviews, candidate communications, and onboarding in English and Spanish.
Support workforce planning, retention initiatives, and hiring strategy recommendations.
Assist with relocation and international recruiting efforts when needed. Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in technical recruiting, talent acquisition, HR, or workforce planning.
Proven success recruiting engineers, technicians, skilled trades, and manufacturing professionals.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Strong knowledge of workforce planning, labor cost management, and staffing agencies.
Experience with college recruiting, internships, and apprenticeship programs.
Proficiency with ATS systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and job boards.
Excellent communication, networking, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
