Job Description

We are hiring for an 1099 Recruiter on behalf of our client, a premier nationwide automotive logistics and transport services firm. The role focuses on building strong pipelines independent contractors to support expanding field operations. Apply Today!
Location:
Gainesville, VA (hybrid schedule once converted)
Schedule:
Mon-Friday, between 8:00am-6:00pm (shift assigned by supervisor)
Compensation:
$22.00-$24.00/hr
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies across multiple platforms, including niche job boards, social media networks, and professional transportation groups. Identify, engage, and recruit active and passive 1099 independent contractor talent using modern sourcing tools. high-volume outreach campaigns via phone calls, text messaging, and email to connect with mobile transportation professionals. Conduct initial phone screens to assess basic qualifications, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory compliance, communication skills, and pay rate expectations. Maintain precise candidate records, log daily recruiting activity, and continuously update status workflows in the tracking system. Track key recruitment metrics and gather market intelligence on competitor contracting trends, contractor pay rates, and regional talent availability. Partner closely with field offices to understand localized staffing demands and deliver a smooth, seamless candidate onboarding experience.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of talent acquisition experience with a proven track record of sourcing and placing candidates. Dedicated experience sourcing 1099 independent contractors, driver talent, or transportation/logistics candidates is a strong plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite along with hands-on experience using modern sourcing databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), or CRM platforms. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to conduct engaging, candidate-centric interviews. High emotional intelligence, organizational discipline, self-motivation, and resilience to handle market shifts or candidate rejection gracefully. Familiarity with transportation industry terminology, Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines, or Hours of Service (HOS) rules is highly valued.
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
