Director of Human Resources UGM considers every position one of ministry and a vital and valued part of our team. Therefore, it is essential that all employees of UGM have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and subscribe to our Statement of Faith and UGM Distinctives. Additionally, employees must be willing to lead and/or participate in Bible study, prayer, devotions and sharing the Gospel.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking a spiritually mature, high-energy Full-Cycle Recruiter who is passionate about aligning talent with ministry. In this role, you will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing to offer coordination and onboarding. You will serve as a primary brand ambassador, ensuring candidates possess the professional qualifications required and align with our Statement of Faith, values and Christian faith.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Result Area #1: Talent Sourcing & Attraction Source candidates through multiple channels, including Indeed, LinkedIn, job boards, social media, and employee referrals. Conduct thorough resume reviews and initial phone screens to assess qualifications if in question, cultural fit, and spiritual alignment. Conduct initial interviews and coordinate next steps with hiring managers. Manage the recruitment process efficiently to ensure timely hiring and a positive candidate experience. Key Result Area #2:
Strategy and Collaboration:
Assist in developing and implementing recruitment strategies that support the organization's staffing needs. Strengthen the employer brand through proactive market research, networking, and candidate engagement. Analyze recruitment metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Build strong, collaborative relationships with hiring managers to understand departmental and spiritual staffing needs. Build positive relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process. Communicate effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and HR team members throughout the hiring process. Key Result Area #3:
Offer Coordination & Onboarding:
Coordinate sending out reference checks if applicable. Coordinate the offer process in partnership with the HR Director. Coordinate the employment background screening process based on position, ensuring compliance and alignment with organizational standards. Work with Intermax to set up email and access to specific drives required, work with the facilities team for keys and/or office/phone/etc. set up, and Hiring Manager to prepare all the details for a successful onboarding experience Order business cards and create name plate for door if required by position. Coordinate and facilitate a seamless, welcoming, and Christ-centered onboarding experience for new hires. Key Result Area #4: Other Responsibilities Participate in weekly team meetings. Facilitate New Hire Orientations. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the team and Union Gospel Mission.

able and willing to model servant-leadership and interested in being part of a ministry to the poor, homeless, drug addicted and mentally ill. Active member of the body of Christ, in accordance with the Union Gospel Mission Statement of Purpose, Statement of Vision and Statement of Faith. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise compassion and discernment while modeling the teachings of Jesus Christ. Able and willing to honor the leadership, chain of command, standards and ministry objectives of Union Gospel Mission. Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, Web Browser, Office 365, UKG Ready HR); able to complete documents, build tables, and accurately record information. Willing to continue education as needed or required. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to assess both professional capability and spiritual maturity. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously. Must have a teachable spirit and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, listen well, and make sound HR-related decisions in alignment with UGM's purpose. Insightful, trustworthy, honest, reliable, model appropriate boundaries, and strong work ethic. Experience with employee relations, compensation, and benefits is preferred. Experience recruiting in nonprofit, ministry, or other mission-driven environments is preferred.

UKG EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
3+ years of experience as a full-cycle recruiter (experience recruiting for non-profits, ministries, or faith-based organizations is highly preferred). Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
REQUIREMENTS
Union Gospel Mission is a privately funded 501 (c)3 non-profit, evangelical Christian ministry. Our designated purpose is religious, and we are a Christ-centered ministry which is dedicated to sharing the Gospel and helping the homeless and impoverished. We consider every position to be essential in the fulfillment of our ministry and Statement of Purpose. As such, each employee must have a relationship with Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.

Be able and willing to share the Gospel and participate in all the ministry activities of Union Gospel Mission. Subscribe to Union Gospel Mission Statement of Faith and Qualifications for Employment upon hire and continuously while employed. Adhere to Union Gospel Mission Employee Handbook. This position requires a confidentiality Statement. Wage offered will be dependent upon experience and education. Summary of Benefits Two hundred and eight hours paid time off per year to include 6 major holidays. (160 hours of PTO for Full-Time) Employees (and their families) have availability of medical, dental, vision, life insurance, Long Term Disability. FSA available first of the year following 1 year anniversary. 403(b) plan, with company matching after 1 year
