Experienced talent acquisition leader who can both build the recruiting strategy and personally hunt for talent. Key responsibilities Own and execute the overall recruiting strategy for financial advisors across Charleston, Teays Valley, Hurricane, Huntington and Ashland, KY. Personally source, identify and develop relationships with high-potential advisor candidates. Build a robust candidate pipeline through networking, referrals, community involvement, professional organizations, universities, social platforms and proactive outreach. Serve as a visible ambassador for Northwestern Mutual West Virginia throughout the market. Develop long-term relationships with prospective candidates, even when they aren't immediately ready to make a career change. Partner with leadership and advisors to identify ideal candidate profiles and recruiting opportunities. Create and maintain a consistent recruiting rhythm, pipeline and activity metrics. Develop recruiting partnerships with colleges, professional organizations, community groups and other talent sources. Analyze recruiting data and adjust strategy to improve candidate quality, conversion and overall results. Help shape the candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding. Schedule and conduct initial conversations with prospective candidates to understand their background, goals and potential fit. Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, community events and other recruiting opportunities.

this is not a role that waits for applicants. Success comes from going out and finding the right people. Ideal candidate 5+ years of recruiting/talent acquisition experience, preferably with demonstrated success in proactive sourcing. Proven track record of building talent pipelines rather than relying primarily on applicants. Strong business development, sales, networking or relationship-management skills. Comfortable making cold calls, initiating conversations and creating opportunities from scratch. Highly self-directed and comfortable spending significant time in the community. Strong executive presence and communication skills. Able to develop strategy while remaining hands-on in the day-to-day recruiting work.
