Full Job Description Job Purpose:
The Retail Training Manager at
MARION COMMUNITY BANK
is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of retail banking staff. This role is crucial in ensuring that employees are equipped to deliver exceptional customer service and meet the bank's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of retail banking staff, including new hire orientation and ongoing professional development. Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify training needs and develop customized learning solutions to address skill gaps. Conduct training sessions using various methods such as workshops, e-learning, and on-the-job training to ensure effective knowledge transfer. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in retail banking and incorporate relevant knowledge into training materials. Manage training budgets and resources efficiently to maximize impact while minimizing costs. Lead and mentor a team of trainers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality delivery of training programs. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the retail banking division to enhance employee engagement and retention.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail training or a similar role within the banking or financial services industry. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful training programs for retail staff. Experience in managing and leading a team of trainers or training specialists. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards in banking and financial services.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Proficient in designing and delivering training programs using various methodologies and technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess training needs and measure the effectiveness of training programs. Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure training programs align with organizational goals. High level of organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training-related software. Strong understanding of retail banking operations and customer service excellence.
