Job Description

TopLine Financial Credit Union has been a member-owned financial services cooperative since 1935. We are looking for outgoing individuals to join our Learning and Development team that is dedicated to building life-long relationships to help our members reach and manage their financial goals. A successful Learning and Development Specialist will be able to do: Assists, develops or facilitates quality training programs and resources to support business objectives and the strategic plan. Subjects include, but are not limited to, employee orientation, operations, compliance, process, and product knowledge, sales skills, quality member service skills, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, management development, organizational computer applications. Works closely with department managers to identify specific training needs, formulate training content, and determine instructional method for existing and new processes/procedures. Assists or facilitates new employee onboarding and training as outlined for each position. Effectively schedules, communicates and coordinates training programs with employees, managers, vendors, and other internal resources. Monitors employee transfer of knowledge and completion of assigned training for online learning systems and periodic inter-company training initiatives. Develops and delivers training and training materials for existing and new processes and procedures. Works with Training and Development Manager and Department Managers to ensure training plan aligns with the goals and objectives of TopLine's business, strategic and marketing plans. Assists in all phases of the training process including needs assessment, research, planning, development, facilitation or seeks appropriate resource to facilitate and evaluate needs. Administers and maintains employee job shadowing initiative to include developing appropriate time schedules with department managers and scheduling of those employees expressing an interest in the program. Keeps current and up-to-date on training techniques, trends and advancements. Maintains knowledge of banking regulations, TopLine procedures, and policies. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned in a timely and professional manner.
Salary Range:
$26.62 - $33.27 (hourly)

Four year college degree in Training, Education, Human Resources, or related, or an equivalent combination of education and experience essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills which have been demonstrated through the ability to write training programs and facilitate training programs essential. Personal computer aptitude with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Access, and training/LMS software at an intermediate level essential. Minimum of 1 year experience in training, staff development or related area. Experience in a financial institution preferred. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Must demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, enthusiasm, and service orientation, as well as demonstrated professionalism and the ability to work independently. Knowledge of bank or credit union products and services preferred.
