Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Director of Staff Development and Training to lead our organization's learning and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in instructional design, adult education, and talent management, with a proven ability to develop comprehensive training programs that enhance employee skills and organizational performance. In this role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of training strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement engaging training programs utilizing instructional design principles such as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to meet diverse learning needs. Assist in the development of policies, procedures, training manuals and agency wide materials. Coordinate onboarding and employee orientation programs to facilitate smooth integration of new hires into the organization. Provide and update trainings on specifics in conjunction with DDD regulations. Develop, coordinate and conduct (when needed) all program training and professional growth and development training for Directors, Managers, Assistant Managers, Medical Coordinators and all other staff. Responsible for continuing education maintain knowledge in regulatory requirements Audit training files to ensure monthly to ensure agency and DDD compliance. Develop and maintain the agency training schedule. Work with the VP of Operations and Development for strategic planning and departmental growth. Provide direct supervision to training department staff and assign task for delegation of duties Research external training programs that would benefit staff development. Participate in all committee meetings assigned Lead curriculum development for professional development initiatives across various departments, incorporating adult learning theories and best practices. Manage the creation of e-learning content using platforms such as Adobe Captivate and Learning Management Systems (LMS), ensuring accessibility and interactivity. Oversee talent management strategies including succession planning, performance management, and human capital development initiatives. Utilize data collection and research methods to evaluate training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with HR teams on HRIS systems like Paycom for tracking training progress and maintaining documentation. Conduct public speaking engagements and facilitate classroom or virtual training sessions to enhance learning engagement. Support change management processes by developing communication strategies that promote organizational adaptability. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills Extensive experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and adult education methodologies. Proficiency with LMS platforms, e-learning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, and enterprise learning systems like Enterprise Learning Management (ELM). Strong knowledge of training program design tailored for professional growth within corporate settings. Expertise in talent management practices including succession planning, employee evaluation, and HR sourcing strategies. Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver compelling presentations and facilitate engaging training sessions. Skilled in project management techniques to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining quality standards. Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Paycom or similar platforms for data tracking and reporting purposes. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning. Knowledge of change management principles to support organizational transitions smoothly. Adept at technical writing for instructional content development and creating clear documentation for training materials.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
