Job Description
Location:
Elk Point, SD Full-Time Frequent travel and overnight stays may be required Comprehensive benefits including PTO, health, vision, and dental insurance, life insurance, retirement, and much more! This position partners closely with supervisors, trainers, and leadership teams to identify training needs, develop effective learning programs, improve employee performance, and support long-term retention. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about employee development, safety, and operational excellence in a manufacturing environment. This position oversees Training Specialists and related training personnelEssential Functions:
Lead company training initiatives focused on: Training pinch points Train-the-trainer programs Buddy system implementation Create, maintain, and complete new hire training checklists for all departments Develop and standardize training records for production employees across all facilities Create and track training KPIs for operational team members Develop, update, and maintain SOPs and training materials Identify gaps in training content and implement improvements to increase productivity and workplace safety Assess future training needs and develop curriculum to support organizational growth Coordinate with management, trainers, and employees to ensure training goals are met Conduct orientation programs and support on-the-job training initiatives Facilitate required and recommended training sessions Ensure training materials remain current, accurate, and effective Research and implement innovative training methods and techniques Evaluate employee performance and identify areas for improvement Develop individualized and group training programs tailored to business needs Support post-accident and injury-related occupational health training requirements Promote and reinforce TBB company philosophy and culture through all training activities Serve as a professional advocate for both the HR and Training departments Qualifications & Skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong understanding of employee training and development processes Ability to lead and facilitate large group training sessions Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Strategic and creative mindset with the ability to adapt training methods Excellent time management and project coordination abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software Ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organization Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field preferred OR Minimum of two years of training experience with at least one year of supervisory experience required Manufacturing and construction industry knowledge preferred #eliSimilar remote jobs
