The Opportunity We are seeking a Training Manager to support our organization's training and development needs. The person will develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive training and employee development program for STS Industrial Inc. This position will lead the organization's training initiatives across all departments, including leadership development, workplace communication, sales, warehouse operations, document control, quality assurance, and other job-specific training. This role will identify training gaps, develop meaningful training content, facilitate engaging and interactive training programs, and establish ongoing development opportunities for employees at all levels of the organization. This will extend beyond one-time presentations or online learning modules and will include recurring, instructor-led, group-based, hands-on, and scenario-based development opportunities. The Training & Development Manager will also establish and lead ongoing development programs for current managers, supervisors, and future leaders to ensure STS Industrial maintains a strong internal leadership pipeline and provides leaders with the tools necessary to effectively manage employees and navigate everyday workplace challenges. Key Responsibilities Training Strategy & Program Development Further develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive employee training and development program for STS Industrial. Focus on practical, real-world learning designed to strengthen communication, leadership, job knowledge, operational consistency, employee engagement, and professional growth. Department & Job-Specific Training Partner with department leadership and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop effective job-specific training programs. New Employee Onboarding, Integration, & Development Partner with Human Resources and department leadership to support effective onboarding and new employee training programs. Workplace Communication & Professional Development Develop and facilitate ongoing workplace communication and professional development training for employees at all levels of the organization. Current Manager & Leadership Development Develop and facilitate an ongoing management and leadership development program for current managers and supervisors. Future Leadership Development
- Managers on the Bench Develop, manage, and facilitate STS Industrial's Managers on the Bench leadership development program.
Training Delivery & Facilitation Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions for employees at all levels of the organization. Required Experience A high school degree, or equivalent, is required. A college degree is a nice-to-have, but not required. At least 3 years of experience in developing and managing multi-department training programs. Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) is helpful. Experience developing or managing training in a technical field where trainers may not be experts on the material. Self-motivated and the ability to be proactive. Relentless attention to detail. A collaborative and influential communicator with the ability to manage change. Ability to present to a large or small group of people. Professional and respectful demeanor. Great written and oral communication skills. A collaborative team player with the ability to operate cross-functionally. Quick learner who is comfortable with adapting to an evolving and growing business. Comfortable with asking questions and seeking guidance. Preferred Qualifications Experience in instructional design and adult learning theory preferred. Experience with the industrial supply and distribution industry is a plus Compensation This is a salaried position with a target annual salary range of $80,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience.
