This role ensures production and support staff are trained to meet contractual, quality, and regulatory requirements, and works proactively to support program execution, strengthen client relationships, and resolve concerns that affect program performance. The ideal candidate combines strong instructional and program-support skills with a client-facing mindset and comfort operating in a regulated government-contracting environment. Key Responsibilities Training & Workforce Development Design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs for production, quality, and support staff to ensure compliance with contract, quality, and safety requirements. Develop training materials, work instructions, and onboarding curricula aligned with program and regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR, ISO 9001/AS9100, DFARS). Conduct new-hire orientation and ongoing skills training, and track completion and certification records. Assess training effectiveness through observation, testing, and performance data, and adjust curricula accordingly. Maintain training records and documentation sufficient to support internal and government audits. Mentor supervisors and team leads on training standards, quality expectations, and client requirements. Program Support & Client Relations Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned government and commercial clients, building trusted, long-term working relationships. Proactively monitor client satisfaction and program health, identifying risks or concerns before they escalate. Lead or support client status meetings, program reviews, and site visits, presenting clear updates on training compliance and workforce readiness. Own resolution of client-raised issues related to training, staffing readiness, or program execution, coordinating with internal teams as needed. Gather and relay client feedback to leadership to inform continuous improvement of training and program delivery. Support contract retention and growth by ensuring clients see measurable value from training and workforce readiness efforts. Compliance & Coordination Coordinate with Program Management, Quality, Operations, and Contracts teams to ensure training and client commitments align with contractual deliverables. Support internal and external audits by ensuring training documentation is accurate, complete, and readily available. Stay current on relevant government contracting, quality, and export-control requirements affecting training content and client interactions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Education or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in training/workforce development, client relationship management, or program support, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or government-contracting environment. Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training programs in a production or technical setting. Demonstrated experience serving as a primary point of contact for external clients or government representatives. Working knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent) and government contracting basics (FAR/DFAR). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to clients and senior leadership. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and learning management or training-tracking systems. U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Certification in instructional design, training facilitation, or adult learning (e.g., CPTD, ATD certification). Prior experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace, defense, or similar). Experience with customer success metrics, account management, or contract retention strategies. Active security clearance. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Primarily an office and training-room environment with regular presence on the manufacturing floor; must be able to move safely through production areas. Some domestic travel may be required to support client site visits or training delivery. Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
