Job Description
Training Lead Position Summary The Training Lead is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of all training and professional development initiatives within the dental laboratory. This role establishes structured onboarding programs and oversees the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational consistency, quality control, and regulatory compliance. This position provides strategic direction for workforce development while working with the Training Coordinator to ensure effective execution of day-to-day training programs. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy aligned with business goals and production demands Design structured onboarding programs for all departments Establish competency models and skill progression tracks for technical and operational roles Create frameworks to support employee growth and retention Identify skill gaps and partner with leadership to address development needs Oversee the creation, revision, and standardization of SOPs across departments Ensure SOPs reflect best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements Partner with department leaders to maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation Implement version control and document management processes Establish training KPIs and measure program effectiveness Monitor training completion, competency validation, and compliance metrics Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, performance data, and quality metrics Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to workforce capability and performance Promote a culture of learning, accountability, and operational excellence Qualifications Experience in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required. 5+ years of experience in training, learning & development, or workforce development Prior experience in a dental laboratory strongly preferred Demonstrated experience writing and implementing SOPs Experience building competency-based training programs Strong leadership, coaching, and project management skills Ability to translate operational needs into structured learning solutions
