Full Job Description Overview:
Role Overview The Development Specialist is responsible for coordinating and implementing parts development.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.) Coordinate parts development and implementation Develop detailed project plans, tactical execution, schedules, and cost estimates for assigned projects Monitor project milestones including tooling readiness, ISIR approval, validation builds, and production launch activities Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure on-time project execution Provide Management overview and report on critical project tasks Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, as well as internal and external customers including Sales Managers, to ensure on-time results Communicate regularly with upper management including Headquarters regarding status of current projects Conduct Value Engineering analysis for possible cost savings by evaluating production methods and materials Review and approve suppliers' Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR), Project Management System (PMS) and audit new program suppliers (MQRS) Audit and evaluate suppliers via yearly MQRS (Mobis Quality Rating System) audits Make suggestions for Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for cost reduction, quality improvement, and lean production Perform part characteristic analysis and risk analysis, and create Procurement policies Research and secure potential suppliers Communicate with HQ and translate files/information from Korean to English, English to Korean when needed Communicate with suppliers and translate files/information from Korean to English, English to Korean when needed Comply with and promote safety in the workplace Prompt, regular, predictable attendance Physical presence at work during all scheduled work hours Overtime and weekend work as required All other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:

This role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility. The position may influence decisions related to functional operations, processes, or recommendations and escalate matters as required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Ability to speak and write fluently in both Korean and English Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Good written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and technical skills
Preferred Education & Experience:
Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field plus 5 or more years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field plus 2 or more years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management Experience in automotive manufacturing environment Experience in reviewing commercial legal documentation (LOIs, RFQs, etc.) Ability to understand 2D/3D drawings and knowledge of design tools SAP experience
