The Training Specialist II is responsible for training content delivery and curriculum development, with broader ownership of program outcomes. This position leads stakeholder relationships, provides mentorship and day-to-day guidance to Training Specialist I staff, delivers new hire and tenured training content, and develops and maintains training content to meet business needs. How will you drive value within the organization as a Training Specialist II? Deliver and develop training curriculum to meet all program stakeholders and Learning and Development team expectations and guidelines, using adult learning methodologies Measure and report on training effectiveness Support learners' success both inside the classroom and after training has been delivered, including answering questions as learners perform daily job functions Coach, develop, document, and provide feedback to learners in the classroom in accordance with guidelines, engaging leadership wherever necessary, and escalating when classroom behavior issues arise Build strong stakeholder partnerships to drive effective communication and high-quality training outcomes Collaborate with Senior Training Specialist, to drive training direction including providing feedback and soliciting learner and department leadership feedback Work closely with stakeholders to conduct needs analyses and develop and maintain training curriculum that supports the outlined development tools and templates Manage projects within the Learning & Development portfolio as assigned Assist with Training Specialist I observation and feedback as required Serve as a key resource for site-specific priorities and office needs that may extend beyond the Learning & Development function to broader HR department or general office duties. Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by management What should you already know to be successful as a Training Specialist II? Bachelor's degree required Familiarity with Adult Learning Theory principles and Experiential Learning techniques and prior experience working with curriculum development and training objectives Experience working quickly and independently on projects to meet deadlines with a high degree of project success Facilitation and Curriculum Development experience using Adult Learning methodology to create an engaged classroom Must demonstrate exemplary presentation skills (design and execution) and enthusiasm for measurable business impact Self-directed with a track record of identifying needs, driving improvements, and evaluating their effectiveness Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others, effectively manage conflict, exercise sound judgment, manage highly sensitive and confidential information, and interact at all levels within the organization Experience delivering face to face performance coaching and feedback aimed at changing behaviors Exceptional oral and written communication skills Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of internet and business applications such as Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, Canva, etc.; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required Curriculum Development experience with tools such as Articulate 360 preferred Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities Ability to think strategically and deliver tactically Commitment to exemplifying the organizational core values and key competencies
Employment Requirements:
This is a full-time, 100% on-site position Significant portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity Remain in a stationary position up to 100% of the workday Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment Job functions involve sedentary to light physical effort.
