Hours of Operation:

Monday-Friday 7 am

• 6 pm

POSITION SUMMARY

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad is seeking highly motivated, energetic, and talented Youth Development Professionals! Applicants should be passionate about youth work and invested in guiding, teaching, and mentoring kids between the grade levels of 1st and 8th.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Facilitation & Implementation

• Lead and facilitate scheduled activities based on the provided curriculum.
• Conduct engaging, high-energy programs and activities in assigned areas.
• Communicate behavior incidents and member achievements with staff and parents. Health & Safety
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized program environment.
• Adhere to all Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad policies and procedures.
• Exercise sound judgment and quick decision-making in emergencies.
• Ensure Club equipment and property remain in good working condition.
• Use positive discipline techniques to guide and redirect behavior.
• Actively supervise Club members at all times. Additional Responsibilities
• Support and embody the mission, values, and culture of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad
• Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Passion for working with youth.
• Strong multitasking skills and adaptability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to safety.

Preferred:

• Experience in youth programming.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
