POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Training Supervisor who will oversee a short-term, intensive training program that prepares young adults for entry-level careers supporting children and families through applied behavioral therapy. Drawing on child development and ABA expertise, this role delivers technical instruction that reflects workplace expectations and employer standards. This individual must have a working knowledge of applied behavioral analysis, child development, and/or special education fields. The Training Supervisor works with team members to help trainees build the technical skills needed to obtain and retain employment as a Behavior Technician. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in ABA, education, or youth development positions, supervisory experience, strong project management skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead instruction for the child development program, delivering technical curriculum that reflects industry standards, workplace expectations, and employer needs. Implement established lesson plans for the assigned cohort using blended learning methods, including remote, live online, and onsite instruction as scheduled. Deliver instruction across a wide range of topics including but not limited to professional behavior, terminology, ABA, data and measurement, and developmental/behavioral disabilities to prepare trainees for behavior technician roles. Embody the role of supervisor by providing timely coaching, feedback, and professional role modeling to help trainees develop the behaviors, communication skills, and work habits required for workplace success. Develop, implement, and continuously refine curriculum, daily lesson plans, and instructional practices to strengthen trainee learning and employment outcomes. Track trainee progress, readiness milestones, participation, case notes, gaps, and action steps in CRM, learning management, and workforce readiness systems. Collaborate with the Program Manager and cross-functional teams to meet program deliverables, strengthen workforce readiness, support placement and retention, and ensure cross-department visibility into trainee progress. Incorporate employer feedback into coaching, curriculum, training projects, and readiness activities to better prepare trainees for employment as Behavior Technicians. QUALIFICATIONS
Desired requirements include, but are not limited to: Minimum three years of experience working with youth or young adults in education, youth development, mentoring, or program delivery; experience training behavior technicians preferred. Working knowledge of applied behavioral analysis (ABA) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Registered Behavioral Technician certification, Bachelor's degree in Education or related field, Child Development Teacher Permit, or equivalent years of experience in the field preferred Strong instructional skills with the ability to engage diverse groups of young adults Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to independently manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Proficient using Microsoft Office, web-based applications, and educational data management systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must have a valid CA Driver's License, reliable transportation, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums Successful completion of background check and health screening required Ability to sit at a desk or computer for extended periods.
