PRIMARY DESCRIPTION

•Must be a positive role model and love working with children ages 4-18 years old

KEY ROLES

Prepare Youth for Success Provide appropriate communication skills and interventions that promote the growth and development of youth Create and foster an environment which builds the achievement of youth development outcomes in the core program areas Model qualities of leadership Run Programming Efficiently Implement organized activities provided within five core program areas: Academics, Character & Leadership development, Health & Fitness, STEAM, and Recreation Prep and create examples for activities as needed before youth arrive to the Club Supervise children during activities with safety, inclusion, empowerment, and fun in mind Organization Clean program areas and site location before closing Maintain organization of supplies Other Duties as Assigned May be required to serve a program snack Ensure a productive work environment by participating in staff meetings and trainings

AGE GROUPS NEEDED

(depending on location assigned/preferred) TK-Kindergarten Care (ages 4-5) Elementary Grades (1st-6th) Middle School Grades (7th-8th) High School Grades (9th-12th)

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

High School diploma or GED Experience working with children in professional roles (non-family members) Knowledge of youth development Background check CPR/First Aid certifications (PREFERRED) 3 Professional References (REQUIRED) TB screening Valid CA state Driver's License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to do occasional lifting up to 20lbs HOURS •Hours will vary depending on assigned site location, age groups, and Club needs•

PART TIME

(Approximately 20-25 hours a week)

SCHOOL YEAR

Must be available Monday•Friday (as early as 11:30am start time for TK-Kindergarten)

SCHOOL YEAR

Must be available on early release days Wednesdays and/or Fridays (as early as 11:00am start time for TK-Kindergarten)

SUMMER :

Must be available Monday•Friday (generally 8:00am-1:00pm or 1:00pm-6:00pm)

TRAININGS & MEETINGS

Additional evening or weekend hours as mandated Opportunities for additional hours/weekends for support with community events and fundraising as needed
