Youth Development Specialist - FT Evenings (Sunday-Thursday)

• GED Equivalent/High School Diploma
• 1 year working in a customer service role related to care of others
• Experience working with adolescents
• Valid state driver's license and car insurance
• Minimum age of 21

• Daily support from/for fellow residential staff
• Weekly touchpoints with other departments

• Adaptability to meet the daily support needs of the home and scholars
• Engaging scholars, families, and volunteers from various religious and cultural backgrounds cultivating healthy, lasting relationships
• Maintaining high-achieving scholar's accountability to program expectations
• Creating highly communicative and strong rapport with team members and scholars
• Transporting scholars to and from the house
• Ensuring safe management and timely distribution of prescription/non-prescription medications
• As with life, priorities and duties can shift or be added to be as effective as possible for our scholars. Bring Your Expertise
• Prior success thriving in a diverse and broad socio-economic atmosphere
• Experience with the direct support of at-risk or high-needs populations, especially youth
• Support and manage priorities to meet the needs of residential operations
• Reliable use and management of various software/communication systems (email, MS office, note sharing, etc.)
• Ability to obtain needed licensure/certifications ensuring the wellbeing of the home and scholars The Environment
