Job Description

Summary :
Dime Commercial Bank (Dime) is currently hiring for a Training Specialist I based at its Headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. The Training Specialist I will be responsible for facilitating training classes for retail banking teller and platform staff. The role also demonstrates the necessary fundamental training concepts, including facilitation, instruction, and classroom management to ensure optimal learning. The Training Specialist I will coach and motivate employees to achieve optimal performance, and will provide developmental feedback to associates during new hire and recurrent training. Previous banking experience and knowledge of core systems applications are preferred. Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $45,000 to $56,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location. All applicants must attach a recent resume. Responsibilities :
Demonstrate knowledge of Dime products and services to provide an overview within the class. Possess current knowledge of bank regulatory requirements. Perform administrative functions pertaining to training and development, such as assignments and recordkeeping. Schedule and coordinate training classes, create appointments, and manage pre-training materials follow-up. Serve as a mentor for retail banking teller and platform staff. Keep abreast of procedural and process changes, assuring all relative training materials and programs are updated as changes occur. Assist with the development and implementation of new training classes. Follow-up with managers/mentors/buddies and new hires to evaluate individual training and to assure the basic requirements of the positions are being met, repeating training as necessary. Evaluate and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of training programs. Identify areas of opportunity to facilitate targeted learning.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1 year retail banking experience preferred. Cash-handling experience preferred. Core retail banking applications knowledge preferred. Ability to travel to both training locations (Hauppauge and Rockville Centre) required as well as traveling to various branches, as needed. Advanced MS Office.
