•LUMA Property Partners is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals interested in learning professional painting and home-improvement skills while earning a steady paycheck . The Home Service Specialist I (HSS I) is an entry-level field position and part of LUMA's Painter Development Track. Professional painting experience is not required. Each HSS I works as part of a two-person field team alongside a Painter I. You'll begin by supporting painting and general home-service operations while receiving hands-on training and increasing responsibility as your skills develop. During your initial development period, you'll also have opportunities to receive technical instruction and coaching from an experienced Master Painter. If you're dependable, enjoy hands-on work, and are interested in learning a skilled trade, this position is designed for you. Compensation & Benefits $17-20/hour starting wage Minimum 30 hours per week Weekly pay $100/month gas stipend $500 90-Day Retention Bonus After 90 days, eligibility for monthly performance bonuses up to $150 90-day compensation review with eligibility for a merit increase based on demonstrated performance and competency Six paid holidays annually Paid professional painting and home-services training Company-provided uniforms Company-provided tools and equipment Opportunities to advance into skilled painting and field leadership positions The $500 retention bonus is payable after successful completion of the first 90 days, provided the employee remains actively employed and in good standing. Paid holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. What You'll Do Initial responsibilities include: Set up and break down jobsites Move and protect furniture and customer belongings Protect floors and other surfaces Mask and tape painting areas Clean and prepare surfaces Sand and caulk Assist with minor drywall patching Prime surfaces Assist with brush and roller painting Roll walls after training Clean brushes, rollers, and painting equipment Load and unload tools and materials Organize tools and supplies Pick up and deliver project materials Perform property clear-outs and debris removal Assist with landscape cleanup Perform residential cleaning and property preparation Assist with basic handyman tasks Take project photographs Maintain clean and organized jobsites Support the Painter I and project leadership as assigned As your competency develops, you'll receive increasing responsibility for painting production. Required Qualifications Valid driver's license Ability to reliably travel to LUMA jobsites throughout Greater Cleveland Dependable and punctual Strong work ethic Comfortable performing physical work Ability to safely lift and carry tools and materials Ability to safely use ladders Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures Willingness to learn professional painting skills Professional and respectful around customers and their homes Ability to work effectively as part of a two-person field team No Painting Experience Required Previous professional painting experience is not required . Experience in any of the following is helpful but not necessary: Painting Construction Property maintenance Landscaping Residential cleaning Moving or material handling Handyman work Basic hand tools We're more interested in reliability, work ethic, coachability, and your desire to learn than an extensive résumé. Painting fundamentals Jobsite and property protection Surface preparation Sanding and caulking Drywall patching Priming Brush technique Production rolling Trim and door painting Sprayer fundamentals Equipment care Professional jobsite practices PCA training resources Coaching from an experienced Master Painter Your First 90 Days Your first 90 days are focused on learning, reliability, skill development, and becoming a productive member of your field team. Successful completion of the first 90 days while actively employed and in good standing unlocks: $500 retention bonus Eligibility for monthly performance bonuses up to $150 90-day compensation review and potential merit increase Performance bonuses may consider attendance, reliability, quality, productivity, teamwork, professionalism, property protection, skill development, and overall job performance.
