Physical Development & Sports Performance Specialist / Coach ASA-Oregon Beaverton, OR Job Details Part-time $18 - $35 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Professional development assistance Qualifications Performance Reporting Team development Team motivation (leadership skill) Team building Full Job Description About the Position ASA-Oregon is seeking a high-energy, passionate, and responsible coach who genuinely cares about participant growth. Our programs use movement and sports to develop strength, coordination, confidence, teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and healthy lifelong habits. Many current classes serve children, but this position may also support teen, adult, family, and all-age programs. We are not only looking for someone who can lead exercises. We want a positive role model who can teach strong character and help participants grow through sports. Responsibilities Lead safe, organized, and engaging sports and physical-development activities Teach running, agility, balance, coordination, conditioning, and body control Teach soccer fundamentals when qualified Explain and demonstrate activities clearly Maintain positive energy and strong group leadership Teach teamwork, respect, responsibility, and sportsmanship Encourage effort, improvement, confidence, and self-control Organize participants into teams, stations, and activity groups Maintain safe equipment use and activity boundaries Communicate professionally with participants, parents, and staff Provide progress reports and report concerns promptly Support camps, clinics, events, and specialty programs when assigned Required Qualifications Strong presentation and communication skills High energy and a positive coaching presence Genuine passion for children's development Responsible, dependable, and punctual Strong character and sportsmanship Ability to serve as a positive role model Ability to lead and motivate groups safely Ability to follow through and report progress clearly Reliable transportation to Beaverton A background check is required. Additional registry enrollment may be required depending on the assigned program. Preferred Qualifications Soccer playing or coaching background Youth sports or physical-education experience Kinesiology, exercise science, physical education, recreation, or sports-related education Multi-sport, fitness, martial arts, or camp experience First Aid and CPR certification Experience with teen, adult, family, or all-age programs Soccer background is a strong plus. ASA Coaching Certificate Training Selected team members will receive:

$799 Training includes ASA standards for: Safe group management Physical-development instruction Character education Sportsmanship Positive coaching Presentation and communication Student motivation Professional reporting This is an internal ASA coaching credential. Completion requirements apply.
