THE POSITION
The Psychological Services Specialist position at the Southeast Youth Development Center offers a chance to support young people through meaningful therapeutic work. This role focuses on planning, coordinating, and delivering mental health services for residents while supporting staff across the facility. It requires strong clinical skills, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. As a Psychological Services Specialist, you will perform the following duties:Clinical Evaluation:
Prepare evaluations using interviews, file reviews, assessments, and consultation with staffTreatment Coordination:
Guide mental health services by consulting with staff, supporting treatment planning, and recommending programmingDirect Services:
Provide individual, family, and group counseling and complete assessments and reportsStaff Training:
Train direct care staff by offering case consultation and participating in clinical staffingsProgram Collaboration:
Work with probation officers and multidisciplinary teams to support release planning and treatment needsCrisis Response:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday- Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $69,086.00 (before taxes). Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
A master's degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.Other Requirements:
