Permanent Employment Benefits Help for . This is a 40-hour-per-week position, structured as four 10-hour workdays. Specific workdays will be determined based on current training needs and coordinated with your supervisor. The Professional Development Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Director of Training to support and coordinate training activities as outlined below. This position delivers live, instructor-led trainings, including Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), to help ensure BTCS staff meet required competency expectations in accordance with applicable guidelines. Additional trainings, such as AS+K and CPR/First Aid, may be assigned based on center needs. The coordinator may only provide trainings for which they are currently certified as an instructor and is responsible for maintaining active instructor status for all assigned trainings. This position requires frequent availability for weekend and after-hours trainings. Although the position is based remotely, trainings are conducted in person and require substantial travel throughout the eight-county service area to provide on-site training as coordinated with your supervisor.
Location:
In-person most days at any designated BTCS clinic. Must live in the BTCS service area.
Hourly Salary Range:

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in human services field.
Training and public speaking experience.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Familiarity with substance use services, childrens mental health and developmental supports as well as adult mental health supports.
Strong commitment to providing quality person-centered, trauma-informed and recovery oriented behavioral health care.
Must have valid Texas drivers license and maintain approved drivers status throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Credentialed as facilitator in MHFA curriculum(s), ASIST, PMAB, AS+K, and/or American Heart Association BLS CPR/First Aid.
