Job Description

Engage and inspire young people aged 5-18 to learn and grow to be responsible adults. Oversee the core programs of the Club for members, by planning, developing and implementing programs and activities that support the organization's standards. Must monitor and evaluate situations quickly using good judgment to assess situations and make decisions. Create and maintain a safe environment for members and adults within the program space. Communicate with parents as necessary regarding behavior issues and Club events. Key Roles
  • Learn and implement nationally recognized programs while promoting and stimulating program participation.
  • Provide supervision, guidance and act as role models to club members.
  • Monitor programs, services, and activities to ensure the safety of all members.
  • Flexibility when changes need to be made and dealing with a variety of situations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of classrooms.
  • Attend staff meetings and follow procedures.
  • Willingness to meet educational requirements. Additional Information
  • Additional hours allotted for lesson plans, activity planning, and staff meetings.
  • Opportunity for advancement is available to all staff.
  • High School Diploma - Required, Bachelors Degree or some college preferred.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Experience working with children
Physical Requirements :
Helping members grow, learn, and gain new skills can be very rewarding. The work is sometimes routine but new activities and challenges mark each day. Youth development can be physically and emotionally taxing, as workers constantly stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift (25 pounds constantly) to attend to each member's interests and problems.
