Job Description
Training Coordinator Trinity Industries United States, Texas, Navasota 11765 Highway 6 (Show on map) Jul 29, 2026 Trinity Heads, Inc. is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Training Coordinator in our Navasota, Texas facility. The Training Coordinator supports employee development and operational excellence by coordinating and delivering training programs that ensure employees are proficient, compliant, and prepared to perform their roles safely and effectively. This position partners closely with Operations, Safety, and Quality teams to support onboarding, technical training, compliance initiatives, workforce development, and continuous improvement activities. The role also assists with administrative responsibilities within the Safety and Quality departments and helps maintain employee training records, qualification tracking, and skills matrices. What you'll do: Develop, coordinate, and deliver classroom and hands-on training programs for production employees
Support employee development through onboarding, technical training, refresher training, and coordination of the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program
Train and mentor OJT Coaches to ensure consistent training delivery and employee development
Conduct and document employee proficiency evaluations and qualification assessments
Develop, maintain, and analyze training records, certifications, and employee qualification documentation
Create and maintain cross-training and skills matrices for operations positions to support workforce flexibility, succession planning, and business continuity
Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on business needs, performance trends, quality metrics, and employee feedback
Coordinate scheduling, logistics, materials, and day-to-day operations of the Training Academy and training programs
Partner with Safety and Quality teams to ensure training programs align with regulatory requirements, plant procedures, and company standards
Provide administrative support to Safety and Quality departments, including recordkeeping, audits, document control, reporting, and training compliance tracking
Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and workforce development
Support Lean Manufacturing activities, including standardized work, visual management, process improvements, and waste reduction efforts
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned What you'll need: High School Diploma or equivalent required
3+ years of experience in manufacturing, training, operations, quality, safety, or a related industrial environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization
Experience coordinating, facilitating, or supporting employee training programs
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to read and interpret production drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and technical documentation
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records
