Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Saw Lead for the 2nd Shift, where you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the metal fabrication process. This energetic leadership position involves guiding a skilled team of operators to produce high-quality components using advanced cutting and machining equipment. As a Saw Lead, you will ensure safety standards are maintained, production goals are met efficiently, and quality is consistently upheld. Your expertise in machine operation, measurement, and technical interpretation will drive continuous improvement and foster a collaborative work environment. Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation. Performs daily inspection of the machine to ensure proper operating condition. Reports any problems. Selects, positions, and secures dies, blades, cutters, and fixtures onto machine. Positions and clamps stops, guides, and turntables. Adjusts controls to set and regulate machining factors such as pressure and depth of ram stroke, adjustment rolls, blade angle, and machine speed. Locates and marks bending or cutting lines and reference points on workpiece. Positions work piece against stops and guides or aligns layout marks with dies or cutting blades. Starts machine and observes machine operation to reposition workpiece, change dies, or adjust machine settings for multiple or successive passes. Inspects or measure work to ensure that part meets quality and customer expectations. Marks all steel parts with proper job number, piece mark, and sequence number (when applicable). Monitor all supplies required. Trains employees to operate and setup equipment Maintains clean and safe working environment.
