A Technical Trainer is responsible for designing and leading technical training programs for staff at an organization or company. Works with the employees to determine their technical requirements and therefore their training needs and objectives; provides presentations, workshops or technology-supported training.

The Field Development Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting world-class training programs that enhance the technical skills, safety performance, and operational effectiveness of field personnel. This 2-weeks-on/2-weeks-off rotational position plays a key role in developing job-specific training that reinforces Precision Drilling's strong safety culture, operational excellence, and commitment to employee development.

DAY IN THE LIFE
Facilitate new employee onboarding and deliver engaging, job-specific training programs for field personnel at all levels
Operate and support rig training equipment while reinforcing safe work practices, Key Beliefs, and Life Saving Actions
Collaborate with internal teams and third-party training providers to continuously improve learning programs and training effectiveness
Serve as a coach, mentor, and problem solver for field employees, supporting their development and operational success
Support field and shop locations across North America, including travel of up to 50%, while maintaining effective learning environments and training activities
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Field experience with a proven safety record, drilling experience (Driller level preferred), and Alpha A&N knowledge are strong assets
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education is an asset
3+ years of training experience preferred, with demonstrated coaching and mentoring capabilities
Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract and proficiency in Microsoft Office, SuccessFactors, and SharePoint
