Join Jabil's manufacturing team in Richardson, TX, to drive operational excellence through targeted SMT (Surface Mount Technology) technical training and development. You will strengthen plant capability by onboarding, upskilling, and certifying production operators on SMT assembly lines, ensuring strict adherence to quality and safety standards. Through collaboration with operational leadership and engineering, you will build critical production skills, close skill gaps, and manage training administration via Workday. What will you do?
SMT Line Training & Onboarding:
Train new hires and current operators on SMT manufacturing processes, standard work, and line operations. Deliver hands-on instruction for critical production positions, including Final Inspection (FNI board inspection), Final Inspect AOI (loading boards into test fixtures, scanning, starting AOI, passing boards into ESD trays, and placing in carts), and ICT (loading boards into test fixtures, scanning, starting tests, passing boards into ESD trays, and placing in carts).
Skill Certification & Compliance:
Conduct practical evaluations, maintain compliance records, and enforce strict adherence to ESD protocols, safety regulations, and IPC quality standards.
Training Administration & Workday Management:
Manage the creation, assignment, and tracking of training curricula and employee records within Workday LMS with a high degree of accuracy. Update training matrices and standard operating procedures (SOPs). How will you get here?
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
2+ years of hands-on manufacturing industry experience, specifically working within SMT production environments or industrial technical training Experience facilitating classroom or instructor-led training
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Understanding of SMT equipment setup, component orientation, and PCB inspection standards Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), with direct experience utilizing Workday for training, tracking and administration Strong presentation, coaching, and communication skills tailored for a factory floor environment Ability to work collaboratively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

IPC-610 CIT
(Certified IPC Trainer) certification Technical School certification or Associates degree Experience developing and delivering training programs Experience supporting organizational development initiatives Experience developing and delivering technical training programs in a high-volume manufacturing setting What Can Jabil Offer You?
