We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Training Specialist located in the Washington, D.C. area. What you'll do: The Mid-Level Training Specialist will provide training and development support to D PAE Maritime M & S, the U.S. Navy's program office for Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct and supervise training and development programs for employees and external customers to help employees develop new skills and enhance productivity while improving the quality of work. Plan and develop programs for training by assessing and identifying training needs created by problems within the organization. Set up teaching materials and lesson plans prior to classes and issue completion certificates at the end of the class. Consult with onsite supervisors regarding available performance improvement services. Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events. Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual guidelines. Coordinate, monitor, and execute data calls to gather inputs from both internal and external stakeholders. Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for further action. Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist in the preparation and closure of action items Assist in the scheduling of appointments in support of Government customer, the coordination of arrangements for meetings and conferences, and the arrangement of travel reservations and accommodations Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC's clients. Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience providing training and development support to U.S. Navy program offices Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint Eligibility to obtain a
DOD SECRET
