PRIMARY DUTIES

The general duties of a Groomer, include but are not limited to: Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets Handle pets with care and ensure their safety and comfort during grooming sessions Trim nails, clean ears, and provide other grooming services as needed Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area Monitor pet health and report any concerns to the appropriate staff Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by engaging and educating our guests in a warm, friendly, and inviting atmosphere. Become familiar with and understand retail products carried by EarthWise Pet, refer products to grooming guests when appropriate. Learn and understand our loyalty, savings programs, and monthly promotions. Learn and understand our scheduling system and daily procedures.

EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years experience in pet grooming required
• Knowledge of various breeds and their specific grooming requirements
• Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with pet owners
• Ability to handle animals gently and with compassion
• Experience in animal restraint and handling techniques
• Physical ability for heavy lifting when handling larger pets
