We're seeking an experienced groomer to become a vital part of our beautiful and busy pet grooming and daycare/boarding pet resort. We provide grooming everyday of the week & weekends Looking for weekend grooming if possible, but we are flexible. Mainly looking for weekend availability too.

Pay:

$40.00

•$50.00 per hour commission 40-50% depending on experience and expertise.

Responsibilities:

Provide grooming services, including haircuts, baths, nail trims, and ear cleaning. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Communicate effectively with clients about their pets' grooming needs and preferences. Handle pets with care, ensuring their safety at all times. Stay updated on grooming trends and techniques. Perform light cleaning tasks, including washing towels and maintaining the grooming area.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of professional, hands-on grooming experience. Proficient in precision scissor work, including shaping, blending, finishing, and creating balanced outlines. Skilled in clipper work, guard-comb techniques, sanitary trims, paw-pad trimming, and clean face and foot work. Strong knowledge of breed-specific cuts, pet trims, and customized styles based on coat condition and owner preference. Experienced with a variety of coat types, including double coats, curly coats, drop coats, wire coats, and shedding coats. Able to perform proper bathing, drying, brushing, de-shedding, de-matting, and undercoat removal without damaging the coat or skin. Knowledge of safe blade selection, clipper techniques, tool sanitation, and grooming-equipment maintenance. Comfortable trimming nails, cleaning ears, and identifying common skin, coat, ear, and nail concerns that should be brought to the owner's attention. Able to safely handle dogs of different sizes, ages, temperaments, and physical limitations throughout the grooming process. Capable of completing full grooms efficiently while maintaining high-quality, consistent results. Able to evaluate a dog's coat and clearly communicate realistic grooming options, including when matting requires a shorter cut. Must provide photographs of before-and-after grooming transformations or a professional grooming portfolio. Dependable, detail-oriented, and available to work weekends as needed.
