Overview In this role, you'll provide exceptional animal care, maintain a clean and safe environment, and support pet owners with compassionate service. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, exercising, and monitoring health status Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through thorough sanitization and grooming tasks Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and ensure their comfort during interactions Ensure compliance with safety protocols such as team lifting and proper animal restraint procedures Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, behaviors, and special instructions Skills Prior experience in veterinary settings or as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable Knowledge of pet grooming, dog training, and animal behaviors Strong animal handling skills including restraint techniques and understanding of animal body language Experience in kennel management, pet sitting, or pet boarding demonstrates reliability in caring for multiple animals simultaneously Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper team lifting techniques Excellent customer service skills to address client inquiries with professionalism and warmth This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal welfare who thrive in active environments. $15.50 - $21.50 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 40.0 per week
