The ideal candidate is confident working independently, takes pride in their work, and is committed to providing high-quality grooming services and excellent care to every pet.
Qualifications Experience:
At least 2 to 4 years of professional grooming experience is required.
Technical Proficiency:
Mastery of scissoring techniques, styling, and standard breed cuts.
Equipment:
Must possess a personal set of grooming tools and equipment maintained in excellent working condition.
Availability:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mandatory shifts on Fridays and /or Saturdays (minimum 3 days per week total).
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (must be 18+). A professional grooming certification is highly preferred.
Mindset:
A deep-seated passion for animal welfare and a commitment to ongoing product and service education.
Essential Responsibilities Full-Service Grooming:
Deliver top-tier services including precision hair/fur trimming, de-matting, bathing, blow-drying, nail grinding, and specialty hygiene care (gland expression, teeth brushing).
Client Consultation:
Conduct thorough hands-on check-ins and check-outs, providing proactive communication and exceptional service via phone, text, and email.
Wellness Advocacy:
Utilize expert judgment to identify and alert pet parents to any physical anomalies or health concerns discovered during the grooming process.
Business Growth:
Actively educate clients on products and service enhancements tailored to their pet's specific needs.
Safety & Standards:
Maintain a pristine and safe workstation while handling every animal with the utmost kindness and respect.
Compensation & Hours Status:
Part-Time (minimum 3 days/week).
Base Pay:
$22 - $25/ hour
Additional:
100% of earned tips.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
