Job Description

Cat Care Assistant Successful and very busy cat hotel is seeking dynamic individuals that have strong work ethic that coincides with their love of all animals and specifically cats. These nice people will be responsible for the weekday and some weekend organization and coordination of boarding operations, procedures, and resources. All paws on deck during holidays!! We are very, very busy...The chance to leave your very own paw-print on their little lives with all the purrs and meows and love you will get in return. And we, their willing staff members are actually pretty fun ourselves to work with.

•This is a very active position. Do NOT apply if you live over 12 miles from Belmont. Pets in our facility must be cared for promptly, every day. The facility is staffed 365 days a year and is exceptionally busy when schools are on holiday recess. You must be able to handle cats without being afraid of them. You must be in good physical condition, able to squat, stoop, bend, lift, and do a lot of walking. Must be willing to maintain the highest standards in cleanliness. There will be opportunities for advancement, if you excel. This is an extremely fast paced environment, you'll be getting your 10k steps per day!! If you are looking for a light fluffy laid back job, this is most certainty NOT that.

Job Type:

Part-time (23-30 hours)

Pay:

Starting is $18.95 hourly + $2-$5 extra in tips per hours = $20.95-$23.95 an hour

Work Hours:

Weekends + PM shifts required, we will mix and match shifts. Monday-Sunday 8 am to 8 pm ~ 8 hour + half hour breaks shifts scheduled within those hours. Must be able to work 6-hour to 8.5-hour shifts with half hour breaks for 8-hour shifts; we will set schedule according to business needs. Please always be prepared to work a full 8-hour shift with a half-hour break. Must have 3 to 4 days with open availability; must include weekday ~ Monday through Friday DAYTIME availability, weekends, and holidays. We will schedule you as needed within those days for part-time based on hiring status. Holiday & weekend availability is a must for all applicants; it's our busiest time and we need all hands-on deck; this is not a corporate job.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning their suites including their litter boxes. Feeding the cats Health logs; recording cats health info Safe handling and oversight of pets to ensure the safety of all animals and deter inappropriate behavior Washing pets laundry and dishes Preparing pets for check out and responsible for belongings Turnover and sanitization of boarding facilities, grounds and equipment including daily removal of animal waste and trash from facilities Tasks may include bending, standing, stooping, kneeling, moving from room to room, and sitting; may be required to walk or stand for extended periods of time May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises, bites, scratches Strong communication skills Attention to detail and follow-up skills Time Management and project management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to follow instructions down to the last detail. Extremely energetic, outgoing, upbeat with a positive personality. Must be able to work at a fast pace, in a team environment, and have exceptional customer service skills! Holiday & weekend availability is a must for all applicants; it's our busiest time and we need all hands-on deck; this is not a corporate job. Ability to lift 50 lbs Not allergic (not even a little) and is comfortable handling all cat personality types including the feisty ones.
