Job Summary Ideal Candidate:
Retired or works from home. We board small dogs, 20 lbs. and under that are fully house-trained. House/townhouse/condo ownership is required. Home location from Alamo to San Ramon. You choose the days/times you would like to host a dog(s). Excellent way to earn extra income from the comfort of your home, while setting your own schedule. Join our dynamic pet care team as a Dog Boarding Associate, where your passion for animals and dedication to exceptional care will shine! In this energetic role, you will provide a safe, loving, and engaging environment for dogs during their stay. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure each pet feels comfortable, happy, and well-cared-for while their owners are away. This paid position offers the opportunity to work closely with animals, develop valuable skills in animal handling, and contribute to a positive pet care experience. Duties Supervise and monitor dogs during their boarding stay, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist with dog handling, including feeding, walking, playing, and administering basic care routines Maintain cleanliness of common areas, and pet care areas through regular sanitization and cleaning Observe animal behavior to identify signs of stress or illness and communicate any concerns to veterinary or supervisory staff Provide excellent customer service by updating pet owners on their pets' status and answering questions about care routines Assist with outdoor activities such as supervised playtime and exercise sessions to promote physical activity Skills A love of dogs! Previous dog care experience, pet sitting experience, veterinary experience, or veterinary technician would be perfect! Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel operations demonstrating strong animal handling skills Knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional approach Strong cleaning skills with an understanding of pet care facility sanitization standards Outdoor work experience that supports active engagement with animals in various environments Join us in creating a welcoming environment where pets feel loved and cared for!
