- Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals and providing top-notch grooming services to our furry clients. This is a family friendly salon, looking for a team player, friendly and positive demeanor with excellent pet handling skills. Must be gentle with pets at all times.
- Responsibilities
- Handle animals with care and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process
- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets
- Assess pets' skin, coat, and overall health issues or abnormalities during grooming sessions
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their preferences and address any concerns
- Monitor and report any behavioral or health concerns observed during grooming
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the salon
- Assist with scheduling appointments and updating client's pet profiles
- Willingness to assist with ad-hoc tasks as required
- Willingness to attend seminars and obtain certificates to stay up to date with best practices in pet industry
- Skills
- Minimum 4 year experience in dog grooming (strong knowledge of grooming techniques of all breeds)
- Excellent in dog handling techniques
- Passion for pet care and ensuring the well-being of animals
- Must be a team player and have a positive attitude
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
