Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention. Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by regularly sanitising tools and equipment. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and aftercare. Handle animals with care, ensuring their comfort and safety during grooming sessions. Assist in lifting larger pets as necessary, demonstrating strength and proper handling techniques. Stay updated on grooming trends and techniques to provide the best service possible. Requirements Proven experience in animal care or veterinary settings is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger animals. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Previous grooming experience or relevant qualifications would be an advantage but not essential as training may be provided for the right candidate.
