We'd love to meet you! We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Experienced Kennel Attendant to join our team. In this role, you'll play an important part in keeping our boarded pets comfortable, safe, clean, and well cared for while supporting the overall flow of the hospital. From feeding and walking pets to monitoring their health, helping with restraint, and keeping kennels spotless, you'll be a key part of creating a positive experience for both pets and their people. Why You'll Love It Here Hands-on role caring directly for dogs and other boarded pets Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunities to build animal-handling and veterinary support skills Full-time and part-time opportunities available Opportunities for advancement Employee discounts A chance to make a meaningful difference in the comfort and well-being of every pet in our care What You'll Do Provide daily care for boarded pets, including feeding, walking, and exercising Maintain clean and sanitary kennels, boarding areas, and common hospital spaces Perform regular cleaning and disinfecting tasks throughout the hospital Assist with safe animal restraint during appointments and veterinary procedures Monitor the health, behavior, appetite, and overall well-being of animals in our care Report any medical or behavioral concerns promptly to the appropriate team member Bathe and brush pets as needed Engage with pet owners and provide friendly, professional customer service Answer basic questions about boarded pets and communicate concerns to the veterinary team when appropriate Help care for boarders on weekends and holidays as needed Follow proper animal-handling and safety protocols at all times Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for pets, clients, and coworkers What You'll Bring Previous dog-handling, kennel, boarding, or animal-care experience preferred Genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare Comfort handling pets safely and compassionately Knowledge of basic pet grooming practices is a plus Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Self-motivated and dependable approach to daily responsibilities Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail Willingness to work some weekends and holidays as needed Positive attitude and readiness to jump in wherever help is needed The Extras You'll Actually Feel Plenty of hands-on time with animals every day Opportunities to strengthen your handling, grooming, and patient-care skills A role that directly supports pet comfort and welfare Opportunities for advancement as you grow your experience Employee discounts that help make pet care more affordable A team environment where reliable, compassionate animal care is valued Benefits You Can't Beat Benefit eligibility may vary based on employment status and average hours worked.
